Kino Flo has packaged its portable fluorescent lighting systems into a variety of kits suited to field production and documentary work. When speed is of the essence, the Kino Flos can be mounted and running full blast in a matter of seconds. They can be taken down and packed just as quickly. Other features of the kits include:

12 VOLT SINGLE 12 VOLT SINGLE KIT

The 12VDC SINGLE was designed to operate T12 or T8 lamps in sizes 15-inch to 4ft in situations where AC voltage is not available. The 12VDC Single is flicker free at any camera speed and has a built-in dimmer. When shooting on location in elevators, trains, buses or other cramped quarters, all that is required is a 12VDC battery pack and the appropriate lamp size to light the scene.

  Like the Mini-Flo, the 12VDC SINGLE can be effectively used to light car interiors. The 12VDC SINGLE KIT is packaged in a travel case with 15-inch fixtures and all the components necessary to light one car interior (driver and passenger).

  The 12VDC SINGLE is also available a la carte, and the 12VDC Ballast, Head Extension and Fixture are compatible with the components of Kino Flo's 120VAC Single System.

12 VOLT MINI-FLO KIT 12 VOLT MINI-FLO KIT

The MINI-FLO is a lightweight, flicker-free, high-output fluorescent system, ideally suited for lighting car interiors, miniatures, table-top or for use as a camera light. Kino Flo has developed its own 9-inch T5 color-correct 2900 Kelvin and 5500 Kelvin lamps. When dimming the lamps, the color temperature shifts less than 200 Kelvin.

12 VOLT MICRO-FLO KIT 12 VOLT MICRO-FLO KIT

The MICRO-FLO 12 Volt lighting system is the smallest high-output, full-spectrum fluorescent source available for film and video work. The lamps come in both 3200K and 5500K color temperatures, measure100mm (four inches) and 150mm (six inches) in length, and are thinner than a pencil. 12 MICRO-FLO MICRO-FLOS are ideal for lighting table-top subjects, miniatures, and other tight areas. The 3-inch flicker-free electronic ballasts can operate MICRO-FLO lamps coolly and efficiently using 12VDC battery power. With an adapter, the ballasts can also be used with 120VAC or 230VAC.

  MICRO-FLOs are available a la carte or packaged as a kit complete with a travel case.
